Home Page – Submit a Task
On the Home page, you contribute an actual measurement of how long a specific task took you. Whenever you submit, you must provide: Once submitted, the site normalizes your entry so everyone can compare per unit. In other words, if you enter “3 chapters” and “6 hours,” it records 2 hours per chapter. This allows you to see “hours per unit” in search results.
Searching Tasks
On the Home page (or via the search box), type any task name to view community-submitted data. Results show: You can also click “Report Your Time” on a search result to contribute your own measurement (and quantity) for that task—helping improve the dataset.
Flow Builder
On the Flow Builder page, build a custom list of tasks and see a combined time estimate:
  1. Search for tasks similar to what you intend to do.
  2. Check the box next to each matching task. Checked items remain selected even if you search again.
  3. The summary at the top automatically calculates:
    • Total Estimated Time (Avg): sum of each selected task’s average time per unit.
    • Total Min Time: sum of each selected task’s minimum time per unit.
    • Total Max Time: sum of each selected task’s maximum time per unit.
    • Total Standard Deviation: sum of each selected task’s standard deviation per unit.
This helps you estimate how long your entire flow will take—without calculating each task individually.
Task Timer
The Task Timer page is similar to the Home submission system but includes a built-in stopwatch. In short, it combines timing and submission into a single tool so you can track and submit seamlessly.
